Powerofmusic Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Powerofmusic. By enrolling in our programs, purchasing lesson packages, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
These terms govern your relationship with Powerofmusic and outline the responsibilities of students, parents/guardians, and Powerofmusic.
2. Enrollment and Payments
2.1 Enrollment in any lesson, course, program, or activity is subject to availability and confirmation by Powerofmusic.
2.2 All lessons and programs must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing by Powerofmusic.
2.3 All course registrations, lesson packages, and payments are non-refundable once payment has been completed.
2.4 Late or outstanding payments may result in lessons being suspended until the outstanding balance has been paid.
2.5 All lesson packages are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Any unused lessons remaining after the expiry date will be forfeited.
3. Lesson Policies
3.1 Lessons are conducted at the scheduled time and location confirmed at the time of enrollment or booking.
3.2 Students are expected to arrive on time. If a student arrives late, the lesson will still finish at the originally scheduled time and no additional time will be provided.
3.3 Cancellation, Leave and Rescheduling Policy
Students or parents/guardians must provide at least 24 hours' notice if they wish to cancel, take leave, or reschedule a lesson.
Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice will be treated as a late cancellation, and the lesson will be deducted from the student's lesson package as usual.
Same-day cancellations will be treated as an absence (no-show), and the lesson will be charged and deducted in full.
Failure to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice will also be treated as a no-show, and the lesson will be deducted from the student's package.
Providing notice does not automatically guarantee that a preferred replacement time will be available. Rescheduled lessons are subject to teacher and room availability.
3.4 If Powerofmusic needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson due to teacher illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, Powerofmusic will arrange an alternative lesson time or provide an appropriate lesson credit.
3.5 Students who hold a fixed weekly lesson time and take more than two periods of leave during a term may lose their regular lesson time. Powerofmusic reserves the right to offer that time to another student and arrange an alternative lesson time based on availability.
4. Code of Conduct
4.1 Students and parents/guardians are expected to treat teachers, staff members, other students, and visitors with respect at all times.
4.2 Disruptive, abusive, threatening, disrespectful, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour may result in suspension or termination of enrollment.
4.3 Powerofmusic reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services where a student, parent, guardian, or visitor seriously or repeatedly breaches these Terms & Conditions.
5. Performances and Examinations
5.1 Participation in performances, concerts, competitions, and examinations is encouraged but is not mandatory unless otherwise specified for a particular program.
5.2 Students participating in external music examinations must comply with the rules, requirements, deadlines, and policies of the relevant examination body.
5.3 Additional fees may apply for examination registration, accompanists, rehearsal sessions, venue hire, performance entry fees, sheet music, or other related services.
6. Liability and Responsibility
6.1 Students and parents/guardians are responsible for following reasonable safety instructions provided by Powerofmusic staff and teachers while attending lessons, rehearsals, performances, or other activities.
6.2 Students and parents/guardians are responsible for their personal belongings while attending Powerofmusic premises, lessons, performances, or events.
6.3 Any intentional or negligent damage caused to instruments, equipment, furniture, or other Powerofmusic property may be charged to the student or their parent/guardian.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Powerofmusic may collect and store personal information for enrollment, administration, lesson management, payment processing, communication, and other purposes reasonably connected with providing our services.
7.2 Personal information will not be shared with third parties without consent except where reasonably necessary to provide services or where required by law.
7.3 Powerofmusic may take photographs or videos during lessons, concerts, performances, camps, workshops, or other activities for educational, documentation, marketing, website, and social media purposes.
If you do not wish for yourself or your child to appear in promotional photographs or videos, please notify Powerofmusic in writing.
